Takeshi Nakauro was born into poverty within a small farming village in the Far East, the father an ex-soldier of the Far East had left battle behind and decided to live a peaceful life, his wife a beautiful woman whom sung and played music just as beautiful as herself. Their only son, Takeshi who would later become Hideo Wiriamuzu, had just turned eight. And on this day, a band of bandits attacked the village setting it ablaze killing everyone they could. Killing the child’s mother after raping her then beheading the boy’s father, all in front of him, the bandits set the bodies ablaze. The boy cried as he fled into the wilderness after losing his entire family. Fighting back tears, not looking back he fled westward.
After wandering aimlessly westward he had arrived on the eastern part of Aht Urhgan Empire. Dehydrated and starving he discovered an Elvaan Ronin named Hideo Wiriamuzu, unbeknownst to him that this Ronin was the leader of the bandits whom raided his village a year ago. The Elvaan took in the boy and trained him how to use a Great Katana, pushing the boy beyond his limits and constructing the foundation of the boy’s future as a career solider and murderous swordsman. The young boy eventually started to fall for the young girl whom was also staying with the Ronin. He went from the age of nine to the age of thirteen, and in those years fighting became his obsession. He lived for the rush of battle, the life or death waiting at each turn. After turning thirteen his mentor had vanished and the boy assumed he was dead. Deciding to move further west, he and the girl left the eastern portion of the continent. As they did, the girl had lost her fight with a terrible illness. Burying her in an unmarked grave, he pushed on as he knew his destiny would be. His obsession for battle and glory would only intensify in the growing years. He decided that the little boy he was was dead and he was a new man. He took the name Hideo Wiriamuzu wanting a strong name and a new identity. He was without a master, without honor, and without land. He was a Ronin just like his mentor.
After arriving in the Empire and experiencing his first Beastmen attack, he quickly decided to sign up for the Imperial Army. Jumping right into conflicts that were way over his head, he made a name for himself in the Empire, mostly as a mad barbarian thirsting for battle. Good and evil meant nothing to him for he was a pawn for political leaders; to him everyone was a potential enemy. In time enemies can become allies and allies can become enemies all in a flip of a coin sides can be switched that is why he bears no allegiances or marches under any single banner. He simply a solider doing what he is told and fighting for his warrior pride. Others have called him Dark Samurai do to his hostile nature and prowess on the battlefield as a demon. Demon of the East or Eastern Devil was a name he would later come to be known as during his time in the Crystal War.
He served the Empire as a pawn in their chess like conflicts with neighboring enemies, first one in and last one out he was an expendable swordsman. Apart of a small group of fellow expendable soldiers he served as a Private Second Class and had transferred under countless important and key figures of Aht Urhgan. Never wanting to move up he wanted to be kept as an expendable object to be used and placed on the battlefield all he asked was to be directed towards his enemy and allowed to be unleashed. His life was consumed with battle and finding his worthy foe, his warrior pride guide him and strengthened him on his path; however he had found a crossroad in his life.
A woman by the name of Tira Andaason had caught his eye and could not escape his thought; the woman would later be a major impact in Hideo Wiriamuzu’s life. At the age of seventeen he was becoming fed up with being a puppet for others and decided to become a mercenary. Now he had become an opportunist finding the most opportune moment to reap the rewards and gain the most profit; however all of this was a charade to hide his true desire for more conflict and seeking his grave. Battling throughout the Near East as a sword for hire as well as professional solider for the empire, balancing between serving the Imperial Army as well as being a Mercenary he ventured out testing his steel against any on comers. In amidst of battle in the Far East Hideo was ambushed by Beastmen forces and narrowly surviving the onslaught. He decided to change his path in life and went AWOL. Deciding to take a vacation from the constant battle; however, in reality the truth of it was in fact Hideo wanting to explore the Middle Lands and find new employers and new foes.
At the age of twenty he had arrived in the Middle Lands. He quickly began exploring throughout the new world as he learned all he could about the regions and locations. The Great War had suddenly erupted as it consumed the Middle Lands and with it Hideo. He had soon discovered what fate had in store for him as he found himself within the chaos as he traveled the northern lands of the Quon continent. During his adventure in the northern land Hideo and his group were flanked and overwhelmed by a group of Kindred. Suffering a surprise defeat he was taken to the dark castle belonging to the Shadow Lord and his darkened wing underlings. There he sat in its dark prison, listening to Beastmen and members of the five races being tortured and interrogated. The screams and cries of tortured prisoners overwhelmed the blackness of his cell. Hideo would not be excluded the interrogations. After given a choice between death and siding with the Beastmen Confederate, he realized he could not die within the darkness of the castle’s cells. Choosing life over death, Hideo signed on to march under the Shadow Lord’s banner. With war raging on throughout the Middle Lands, Hideo had found himself marching towards Tavnazia, a place he had known nothing about. On this battlefield he quickly realized there were no allies only enemies. The Allied Forces of Altana battled the Orcish Horde, Hideo and a small group of fellow betrayers realized they were fighting to survive. He could only watch out for his own hide on that day, he quickly vanished from the bloody massacre. Dishearten by his desertion of the battle and the dreaded feel of dishonor, he headed to San d’Oria to temporarily enlist as a Reserved Knight under the Iron Rams so he could continue fighting the war and reclaim his lost honor. Spending most of his time sparring with up and coming Knights in San d’Oria barracks to win over the San d’Orian Nobility. He was given a task to stop a small group of Orcs attacking in the forest but neglected the assignment by request of a higher up noble so he could take a contract for the cathedral. After completing the assignments he was hired a board and was granted a Mog House for his services and citizenship, which the latter he turned down.
Joining San d’Oria into battle, he made his way toward the northern lands once more as he drew closer to the dark castle. Arrogantly he decided to venture forth and gain his vengeance under the façade of getting a reward for siding with the Beastmen before. It was foolish but he decided to attempt it and it backed fired on him. He fought off a Samurai named Hajimoto and ended up being surrounded by Kindred once more and barely escaping with his life. There stranded in the snowy wasteland only to black out and collapse due to exhaustion. Missing out on the final days of the war, Hideo had awoken in Jeuno and quickly found work. The Great War had come to an end, he wandered around as he explored the rest of the Middle Lands he cross paths with a survivor of the Great War. An ex-noble Elvaan fought Hideo in Zi’tah as he disguised himself as a holy man on a pilgrimage to the Hall of the Gods. In the quick scuffle the Elvaan was cut down but in his dieing breathe he cut into Hideo’s face leaving a scar over his right eye. Cleaning the wound, it would later serve as a reminder of his betrayal of the allied races and more importantly his lost honor. This was his mark of Aku, or mark of evil/sin. Taking a vessel back to the Near East he continue to remember the image of the woman who kept his sanity as he was locked away in the darkness of the cell, Tira Andaason the Corsair that seduced him.
Stepping back onto Near Eastern soil, he made quick work of tracking down the goddess of his dreams and the unforgettable gambling succubus. Laying low from the Imperials due to abandoning his post and leaving for the west he knew if he was discovered that he would be in some form of trouble. For two years, he and his beloved Tira were inseparable as he lived life as a sell sword working for anyone that he could find yet attempting to keep a low profile; unfortunately, his dishonor due to the previous war continued to eat away at him. Becoming more reckless as time went on he continued to seek more and higher profile contracts, finally drawing the attention of the Imperial agents Hideo and Tire fled into the woodlands trying to escape Imperial grasp. Strife, a rival and sometimes ally of Hideo as well as his own cousin, had followed the two as Tira continued to inform him of their location. Hideo Wiriamuzu betrayed by his beloved as she pulls the trigger of her Hexagun on him, leaving him in a pool of his own blood. Strife claiming the bounty on Hideo’s head brought him into the Imperial’s hands. Locked away for a reduced sentence, Hideo’s mind spiraled down as he soon realized he lost everything once more. Blaming it all on his weakness and letting someone get close enough to him, he began to drink and smoke heavily. Consumed by anger and rage he abandon his ideals of honor and decided to show the world what a true villain was and what it means to be a Demon. Unknown to Hideo, was that Tira had given birth to their daughter.
Freed and given a clean slate Hideo decided to return to the Middle Lands, leaving the Empire, Hideo joined the Tenshodo. As he reflects on his past, he increased his drinking and continued to spiral downward. In Jeuno he continued right where he left off as a mercenary and wandered the land seeking battle, taking on any assignment that he could get his hands on him faced off against any foe no matter what race or nation. Eventually Hideo had arrived back into Norg where he encountered an eastern Hume going by the name Ryu, the supposed son of Hajimoto but in reality Hideo’s very own bastard son. Knowing the kid had potential within him, letting the young Hume beat him in a game of dice, he agreed to train him. Hideo wanting no part in Bushido decided to just teach him how to use a Great Katana. Now uncaring about honor or the code of a warrior he simply trained the boy to be a killer and a solider like him.
Ryu had abandoned his intense training under Hideo’s teaching. Disappointed with the new generation and now reaching the age of forty he felt that he had become a bitter old man. His hedonistic nature that now consumed his life, attempting to fill the emptiness within himself he seek battle for the rush and any of forms of feeling alive. He had seduced and conned his way into women’s beds as well as charming his way into free drinks. He felt life was good and he was untouchable. He only had a few major rivals, but most of them began to die off or vanishing into retirement.
The year 882, Hideo had discovered the symbol “Aku”, written in blood on a wall in Jeuno. Hideo had use to leave marks like that to gain credited for the kills, furious that someone was out there stealing his name and his contracts he set out to eliminate the imposter. After weeks of leads, he tracked down the imposter; it was Ryu. The two clashed on the bridge leading to Upper Jeuno, however after a devastating defeat, Hideo was left broken and embarrassed. He was furthered disillusioned and filled with lost honor. Vanishing from the world, he returned to the remote Misareaux Coast, in isolation. There he honed his skills in solitude as he was driven by vengeance and hatred. For two years he stayed on the forgotten land, the Safehold was a boring place, all he could do was meditate, train, and write down his knowledge of battle and art of war. Children flocked to him, to hear stories of the Near East as well as his adventures, this only furthered annoyed him and fueled his anger to leave this place. As he began preparing for his return, he had received a letter from someone he had not suspected, it was Ryu. The letter was asking for forgiveness and that he has fallen in battle. Crumbling up the paper, he decided it was time to end his retirement and return full force back.
Upon returning, he realized that he is nearly forgotten in most locations. Adventurers overrun all know inhabits, forcing their ways into the history books. His contracts, his employers now turned to Adventurers and they had all surpassed him. Driven by a new passion, to show his greatness to this younger generation and to show that he was simply better than most of them. His obsessions had returned tenfold. Battle had become his only reason to live using hedonistic nature as a mask. Wanting to show the world what a true villain was and that he was what he called himself that he was the Demon of the East. He feared no man, no beast on the battlefield he was a berserker who was warmonger and craved battle to prove to his self that he’s just as good as or better than any other. He lost his son aiding him in his Samurai ritual suicide, tossed aside his daughter forcing her away, killing his beloved Tira for her betrayal, and defeating all of his former foes.
Always seen smoking or chewing on a toothpick while toying with an Imperial coin or pair of dice and always seen with Hagun at his side the now forty seven Hideo Wiriamuzu, a Ronin, seeks his final opponent as well as his own grave.
